Primary Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking two Physicians to join our growing practice and continue our mission of delivering high-quality medical care to patients of all ages.


The Physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced medical and administrative staff while building long-term patient relationships in a community-focused setting.


Requirements: 

  • Board-certified in family practice medicine or internal medicine. 
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Active Alabama medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and community health.


Front Office Administration

Elberta Family Practice is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Office Administrator to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience while keeping daily front-office operations running smoothly.


The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office, and able to provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.


Summary of Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and route telephone calls, take accurate messages, and provide appropriate information to callers.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments and accurately document appointment information.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and new- or established-patient status.
  • Communicate clinic policies and appointment requirements to patients.
  • Collect co-pays and other patient payments when applicable.
  • Notify clinical staff of patient concerns or situations requiring their attention.
  • Process and route incoming faxes and documents to the appropriate area.
  • Release prescriptions to authorized individuals after obtaining required signatures.
  • Train and serve as backup for other front-office positions.
  • Maintain an organized and professional front desk area.


Qualifications:

  • Previous medical office, healthcare, or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new responsibilities, procedures, and systems, and successfully apply provided training.
  • Must be receptive to instruction, coaching, and feedback and demonstrate continued improvement as responsibilities are learned.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Must maintain alertness, attentiveness, and professional engagement throughout scheduled working hours.
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Medical Assistant

Elberta Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant.   


This position supports clinic patient flow by assisting the patient care team and providing a broad range of healthcare services. The Medical Assistant may also help train and guide clinical staff. As part of the patient care team, this position requires being mindful of the needs of both patients and their families.


Summary of Duties:

  • Provides comprehensive clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care and smooth clinic operations.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with patient intake and medical history, preparing patients for exams, performing basic clinical procedures and point-of-care testing, and supporting providers during treatment. 
  • Maintains accurate patient documentation, processes forms and prior authorizations, and ensures compliance with HIPAA and safety standards. 
  • Responsible for maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and supporting overall clinic organization and workflow. 


Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), preferred.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer-first mindset and ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintain required competencies, and have reliable transportation.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
